We primarily use Avanan as a email security tool. One of the major challenges that we were facing earlier was the inflow of many malicious emails. The default security provided by the email tool was not enough and moreover there was no restriction in sharing these emails internally. With the introduction of Avanan drilling down into important summary statistics became that much more easy with its slide down menus.

It allows to create granular policies to check incoming emails whether exists malware or not? has spam signs or not? and apply appropriate actions. Besides, Avanan can integrate with Office 365 to prevent data loss on OneDrive from sharing sensitive document to outsite and prevent internal users sending email containing unauthorized contents.

I had used Avanan for past 1 year and the services provided are excellent. One of the best things about Avanan is It provides detailed reports for the attempted attacks or issues happened with your email like number of phishing emails blocks, the number of anomalies. The other best feature it has is, Post attack Forensic and Quarantine so that the possible bad results of the attack can be minimized and and because of AI it does the self learning.

I have used Avanan basic plan as a single user within my organization. So basically I used Avanan to secure my emails and Office 365 collaboration. Avanan maintains good security measures with multiple checkpoints to detect most harmful threats such as phishing, hijacking and ransomware programs. I think Avanan is user friendly as we can simply standardize our security across the organization using a single dashboard view.

As the engine is cloud-based, all analytics run on the cloud server and do not use any processing on our devices. It caused virtually no impact on any of my Windows and Mac laptops, even during intensive scans of the entire drive.

Avanan is very significant in our organization because of multiple reasons, the most important of them is that all our emails are much secure with it and is a very helpful tool for email security. It has made it permissible for us to configure it with the cloud and its anti-spam feature is helpful in spam protection. Furthermore, its data analytical capability is highly beneficial for us.
- Its blacklisting function is so helpful as we can add emails to the blacklist to prohibit them from sending future emails.

- The installation process takes much longer than our expectations and is a complex process too.
- Documentation is not enough I think it needs to be improved.
